Avalta ("we", "us", or "our") operates at avalta.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What information we collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it directly:
- Contact form: name, email address, and any message you write.
- AI Readiness Quiz: name, email address, and your quiz responses.
We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry or send your quiz results.
- To follow up about Avalta's services, where you have requested this.
- To improve the website and our services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
We use the following services to operate the site:
- Resend - processes and delivers transactional emails (contact form confirmations, quiz results). Resend's privacy policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Vercel - hosts the website and serverless functions. Vercel's privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
These services may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We have chosen providers that meet industry-standard data protection practices.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data — pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/region). This data helps us understand how the site is being used and improve it over time. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
GA4 may set cookies to distinguish visits. Under PIPEDA, aggregate analytics without ad targeting do not require explicit consent, but you may opt out at any time using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Data retention
We retain contact form submissions and quiz responses for as long as they are relevant to an active or potential client relationship. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you.
- Request a correction to inaccurate information.
- Request that your information be deleted.
- Withdraw consent for future communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email steve@avalta.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
